I confess that as a Hillary Clinton supporter that the recent story of Donald Trump being tied to what he said about Nancy O'Dell made me keep silent because it focused more on his attraction to one woman wrong or right. I understand that it is not a crime for the comments Trump made. However, his remarks of what he said about women over the age of 35 make me a little uncomfortable because it makes me wonder if that viewpoint translates to how he feels about older women in the workplace, especially if they are over the age of 40 andor a similar age as him.

As an aspiring writer who enjoys creative writing therapy, this article caught my attention because it pertains to plans to recreate William Shakespeare's hometown (who as many know Shakespeare is well-known for his writing). As with other comnenters I only know Tamika Cross's side of the story from the coverage that I had seen on MSN news and some time later Yahoo News. However what gives Tamika Cross a legitimate reason to speak up on how she was treated ties into the credentials remark. Cross is quoted assaying that her credentials were checked to see if she was eligible to give help compared to the other doctor on board the plane whose credentials were not questioned prior to him giving help to the unresponsive man. If this is true then I could easily understand why Cross felt frustration with having her offer of help rejected.



I appreciate all the comments to my post even if I'm undecided what I think about them. To commenters Princess Kate Middle Class and Daniel I'm glad for you both giving two mature and different sides of what could have happened to help me think of the situation in a different light. As for Steve, I'm going to assume that you are also an open-minded individual with well-meaning intent who is maybe only posting sarcasm but if not please take into account that there are good and evil people in every race. As a result, one cannot generalize a whole race of people.
Once again, I'm grateful for my current university food service job. One of the positive benefits to my current job is that I make over twenty percent more money after taxes compared to my previous retail job. I'm also blessed to be able to save more money in this current job because I live closer to my current job compared to the previous one, which saves me money on public transportation costs. As a long-time Madonna fan since around the age of 14, I feel that it is a positive thing that she is being recognized as Billboard's Woman of the Year for 2016. I have listened to a multiple range of her songs which evoke a variety of themes on the originality spectrum. Additionally, one of the past Madonna concerts that I had attended left me feeling that I got my money's worth for what I paid for. I also like that Madonna finds ways to still keep going career-wise and enjoy her life even when she is criticized andor challenged by some of the most persuasive critics on a public scale.

About Adele, Adele is talented in her own right but nowhere in my comment did I imply andor compare Madonna andor Adele. From my perspective, Madonna and Adele have had successful careers but I do not feel comfortable to argue relevance because each of the woman are on their own successful music career path. As for the tributes to David Bowie and Prince, both musicians were known to be iconic during their lifetimes. However, my first comment to Madonna winning the Billboard Woman of the Year had more to do with feeling that it was a positive thing that she is getting this important recognition. The reason why I prefer to avoid getting into a debate on which musician is more relevant andor better is because a person's preference in music is subjective. Additionally, some of the best music that I have heard in my life via online sources such as Pandora, iheartradio, Amazon Prime etc. would not be considered mainstream relevant yet that does not take away from some of this outside the mainstream music not being enjoyable to listen to. One point I'm getting at, Madonna may not have gotten as much radio airplay on some of the radio stations in the area that I have lived in compared to some other artists. However, this does not take away from the fact that Madonna is a great selection to be Billboard's Woman of the Year for 2016.
